SJI organized a dialogue with 16 young college interns (at SJI) and 6 SJI staff on matters of collective wellbeing, providing a platform for reflection with the aspiration that they will endeavour to extend it to further discourse among friends, at home, in bars, in classrooms, at workshops, college assemblies…, formal and informal.
Reflection on: Where were we 50 years ago? Where are we today? Where are we going? Where do we want to go? How do you understand democracy and GNH? What is your role in democratic Bhutan? Where do you see yourself? How do you see yourself? Why do you see what you see? What can you do? What should you do? What are your choices: easy or tough? popular or larger public good? short or long term choices?
What choices you make as a son, daughter, brother, sister, parent, as a person who cares for your own wellbeing, as a future leader, as a concerned, responsible & young citizen makes the difference! What you buy…what you eat and drink…what you wear… what you grow… how you manage your waste… MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!
For how long!
